Marilyn & I still live in Northern California in a small community called Alamo. We have been here now for 35 years….seems like only yesterday. The joys of our lives are our 5 Grandchildren. It has been so much fun watching them grow up, all be it way too quickly. Our eldest Granddaughter is 21 and a senior at Auburn University in Auburn Alabama. Our second Granddaughter is 19 and a sophomore at Chico State in Chico California. They are our daughter Dawn’s children. Our third granddaughter is 15 and a High School Freshman in Peachtree City GA, our fourth granddaughter is 13 and an 8th grader, and I know you are probably thinking all girls but no. Our 5th is a grandson who is 11 and in the 5th grade. These three are our son Greg’s children. Needless to say we spend as much time as possible in Georgia.
Looking forward to the reunion, see you all then.

I received All-State Basketball honorable mention my junior year and first team All State honors my senior year. I was the top scorer in the state at 21.6 points per game that year with career average of 18.4. Both SHS records to this day. Later I became an avid runner logging over 97,000 miles. I ran for 35 years, 22 years with out missing a days training. I completed 350 races including 54 marathons Boston, Chicago and Lincoln with a best time of 2 hrs 34 mins,10 seconds.I also ran a race up Pikes Peak. 14,110 to the top. I am a Vietnam Vet and live in Newcastle, WY. I am known as Mt. Man in the Black Hills area. I lost my beautiful wife Marlys 11/2/15 after 46 years of marriage. I miss her everyday. She was the nicest person I ever met. I have hiked all over the Black Hills. My friend Beth and I did 15 hikes last year. She told me to take a hike and we have been hiking ever since. I took a trip back east and had lunch with Nancy Thompson Harlan in Virginia. I visited close friend Ron Barker in Tenn. We drove up to West Virginia to see my brother Mike. I was voted into the Sturgis High School Sports Hall of Fame.
I sponsor an annual $500 scholarship at SHS for a student who competed in basketball, cross country or track. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone in September.

AROUND GRADUATION CHARLES ROSE HAD A CLASS PARTY AT THE RANCH. THERE WAS SOME BOOZE CONSUMED. ESPECIALLY BY HOMER. HE MADE A VERY UNFLATERING COMMENT ABOUT COLEEN SO I DECIDED TO PUNCH HIM OUT. HE ONLY WEIGHED ABOUT 140 LBS. I HAD HIM BY THE SHIRT COLLER. JUST AS I WAS ABOUT TO SWING I HEARD A CLICK AND SOMETHING SHARP AT MY THROAT. EUGENE (WILLIE) WILLIAMS HAD A SWITCHBLADE AT MY THROAT AND VOWED TO CUT MY THROAT IF I HIT HOMER. I WASN'T SURE IF HE WOULD ACTUALLY DO IT BUT DIDN'T WANT TO RISK IT. I CLALMED RIGHT DOWN AND LET GO OF HOMERS SHIRT. JUST AS WELL. HE WAS MY BEST FRIEND.

I WAS 18 THE FIRST TIME I SAW THE OCEAN. NOW WE HAVE A 180 DEGREE VIEW OF THE PACIFIC OCEAN AND CAN WATCH IT ALL DAY LONG EVERYDAY.EVEN WHEN I'M SHAVING. WE GO TO THE BEACH A HALF DOZEN TIMES A MONTH. DURING THE MIGRATION SEASON WE CAN SEE GRAY WHALES. WE HAVE A VIEW OF BOATS AND SHIPS EVERYDAY. LOTS OF NAVY BOATS ON MANEUVERS A COUPLE TIMES A MONTH.

FOR MOST OF MY WORKING LIFE I TRAVELED EXTENSIVELY AND HAVE BEEN TO EVERY STATE EXCEPT MAINE, NEW HAMPSHIRE, VERMONT AND ALASKA. ALSO WENT TO JAMAICA, CANADA AND MEXICO ON BUSINESS.

I feel as if I'm back in school, cramming on the night before a test. Our reunion is in less than 2 weeks, so I'd better"get cracking"on this bio. As you all know from past reunions, Tom and were married after I graduated from Mt Marty, moved to Omaha, KC, Rapid City, WY, and now Walla Walla, WA. We have 2 children, Michelle and Scott. They married their high school sweethearts and gave us 4 grandchildren whom of course we adore, and try to see as often as possible. Something you may not know about me is that I am a terrible driver. Sorry, Mr Hendrickson. I can't back up. I wiped out the whole side of my dad's car, backing out of the A&W parking stall. Then backed into a steep ditch in front of the Inferno during the Days of 76. After a few beers and dancing the night away with Tom, my girlfriends and I decided to go home. Guess what? I backed into a ditch. We bribed Tom and his buddy with left over chicken, we had in the trunk, so he pushed us back on the road, where I proceeded to pull forward into a big ditch! I just don't get it!! To this day poor Tom has to back our cars out of the garage for me. :^(

Finally retired on March 1st but do still own my insurance agency. Went to Bucerias, Mexico for 3 weeks in January and to Panama City Beach for a huge Parrot Head gathering in April. My husband Bud is our local Parrot Head President ( 180 members) and also has his own band. Parrot Heads DO party but we have to host a charitable event each quarter of the year. There are over 270+ clubs in the U.S. and several overseas. LOTS of work but PHUN ( that's Parrot Head spelling) Anxious to see phriends in September.
